The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is a clinical position that provides information about both structure and function with every major organ within the body by the injection of radioactive materials. The technologist is responsible for the independent operation of equipment, and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using nuclear medicine. The technologist is also responsible for daily operations of the laboratory, patient schedule, equipment maintenance, the report of equipment failures, and quality assessment. Through collaboration with all members of the health-care team, strives to support a patient centered culture and gain knowledge and skills to further the practice of the quality of patient services provided at WMRMC. Under the direct supervision of the Diagnostic Imaging Manager, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist exercises independent judgement in applying professional knowledge required to plan, prioritize and organize responsibilities in support of the clinical department.

This position is safety sensitive and subject to WMRMC’s Drug & Alcohol Policy.

PRN - Non Benefitted

Required Education
Graduate of accredited Nuclear Medicine Program

Required Experience/Knowledge
Skilled professional with a solid foundation of Nuclear Medicine
Knowledge of ARRA/federal radiation guideline

Preferred Education and Experience
Three (3) years’ experience in a hospital environment

Required Licensees & Certifications
Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (MNTCB)
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
