Materials Management Tech - Full-Time - Material Management

Type: Full-time

The Material Management Technician position is a non-clinical staff position responsible daily restocking and maintaining appropriate levels of medical supplies throughout the facility as well as meeting the printing and copying needs of the facility. Through collaboration with all members of the health-care team, strives to support a patient centered culture and gain knowledge and skills to further the practice of the quality of patient services provided at WMRMC. Under the direction of the Materials Management Manager the Technician may be required to exercises independent judgement in applying knowledge required to facilitate the processes of assisting with department responsibilities in meeting the purchasing and delivery of medical and other supplies for all departments.

Required Education 
High School Diploma or Equivalent
 
Required Experience
1 year experience in printing or shipping and receiving 

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills including exceptional telephone and customer service skills.
    Friendly, courteous, and attentive.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients and staff.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize workflow and meet deadlines.
  • Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and a problem solver.
  • Basic knowledge base of HIPAA.
  • Computer knowledge including MS Word and Excel.
  • Ability to have versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
