What is a Swing Bed?
Swing Bed is a Multidisciplinary team approach to rehabilitation after someone has been in the hospital due to an illness, surgery or a fall resulting in a broken bone. This level of care is the bridge for many between the hospital and home.
The multidisciplinary team includes Physical and Occupational Therapy, a medical team consisting of an RN, CNA, and hospitalist, Dietary, and Pharmacy.
Swing Bed level of care consists of therapy occurring up to 5 days per week. WMRMC can accommodate IV antibiotic therapy, wound vacs, and ostomy care.
Who Pays for Swing Bed Care?
