Reviving the Community Fun Run was a great idea! It was very well attended with 53 runners and everyone had a great time. Medals were awarded by gender and age group. Everyone participating received a t-shirt and a WMRMC dog tag. The contestants seemed to be fascinated by the dog tags, perhaps more than in their medals.

Participating in the One Mile Fun Run or Walk were: Regan Eagar, Andrew Fritz, Bill Fritz, Eddie Fritz, Katie Fritz, Nora Fritz, Thomas Fritz, Rita Godsey, Lori Holland, Jordan Houghton, John Hulson, Tyler Hulson, Cierra Manley, Brenda Plumb, Shyanne Plumb, Weston Swift, Colin Tisdell, Kaden Tisdell and Thomas Thurber.

WMRMC would like to thank the Eagar Police Department and Springerville Police Department for their support in assuring the runners’ safety on the course, Coronado Generating Station’s PERA Club for the use of the time clock and the Round Valley Football team who manned the water tables and assisted runners in the One Mile. Marketing and Community Services Manager, Linda Martin, would like to thank everyone who encouraged us to organize the Fun Run once again. Mark your calendar and plan to participate in next year’s run during the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
