We Extend Care Beyond Our Doors
WMRMC provides a caring environment in which every person, including the poor and most vulnerable members of our community, can receive medical attention. Yet when we look into our hearts, we understand there is more that we can do. So we extend the care we provide to our communities beyond the work we do in our facility. We participate with several organizations in our efforts to reach out. A few examples of this work include:
- Round Valley High School Fine Arts & Northland Pioneer College’s NAVIT Student
of the Month is a program to recognize students who are dedicated to each program,
is involved with their program inside and outside of school, desires to make improvements
in their program and demonstrate good citizenship.
- Communities Coalition for Wellness was formed to improve the health and quality
of life for community residents by reducing the incidence and severity of chronic
disease and obesity through physical activity and nutrition interventions.
- Healthcare Fights Hunger, in June 2007 WMRMC collected and donated over 230
pounds of food to the local food bank, Round Valley Cares.
- Community Health Symposium provides a day of relaxing, attending interesting educational break-out sessions
and enjoying lunch while being entertained by our neighbors modeling clothes from
local businesses.
- Community Health and Safety Fair provides a day to take advantage of health screenings
while gathering information about services offered in the community.
- Ramsey Park Renovation, WMRMC donated funds for the Town of Eagar’s renovation project. The renovation project
has provided an up-to-date park for all ages to enjoy.
